Michele McBain

Osteopath
Brief info

Michele's approach particularly suits babies and patients who do no enjoy high velocity manipulation ('osteopathic click').

Michele adores working with babies and children. And for this end she has furthered her studies in paediatric osteopathy at the Osteopathic Centre for Children and The Sutherland Cranial College of Osteopathy.

Following her passion in pursuit of health and the holistic harmony within, Michele's approach applies the gentle osteopathic cranial techniques, and equally gentle functional and strain & counter strain techniques. Michele combines these with a Chinese medicine philosophy and acupressure points.

Her interest lies in supporting the body’s innate healing power to optimise health throughout different stages of life. Her experience includes working with elderly patients for their specific needs; adults with sports injuries and work strains; expecting mothers and new mothers with their rapidly changing body structure; growing teenagers, school children to new born babies.

Born in Hong Kong, Michele grew up with the concept of the interconnection of the equilibrium of body, mind and spirit, and the different stages in life has their specific demands on the body functions and its health.

Michele gained the degree of Master of Osteopathy in 2014, at the University College of Osteopathy (formerly known as British School of Osteopathy).

In my spare time, I am a keen rambler enjoy being close to nature and practise Yoga.
